Guinea is a lovely country boasting some wonderful landscapes. She is well endowed naturally with bauxite, gold, and a generous share of wetlands, and the vast forest region has a rich supply of timber. Nevertheless, poverty is widespread and basic amenities are lacking at every level.

Vision
We desire to see an overwhelming movement of reproducing churches among the people of Guinea that leads to holistic transformation of individuals and community as people worship God and live under the Lordship of Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ministry Methods
Campus ministry, discipleship center, evangelism, Bible teaching

Challenges
Islam – With almost 90% of the population, Islam dominates the thinking and way of life, even though Guinea is a secular nation. The message of the gospel is thus frequently missed, requiring more than average effort to get it across. Secondly, converts have to deal with persecution and isolation from friends and family, rendering the discipleship process extremely tedious.

Poverty – a combination of bad leadership and corruption has left the majority of the people in abject poverty, with a few extremely rich. Many people can hardly afford one meal a day. All they look forward to is another meal, or maybe they are too tired after the days labor for fruitful interaction.

Two of the team members, in direct response to the training and exposure that the short term outing to Koba offered them, have committed themselves to serve the Lord in various capacities among the Balantas and with Groupe Biblique (Bible Groups of the Universities).
