THE 20 UNREACHED...

Rev. 7:9,10 is the prophetic picture of what God’s heartbeat is.

"After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands."

"And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”" (Revelation 7:10, NIV)

The bible makes it clear that God does not want anyone to perish, “but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). He is waiting for more sinners to repent and turn to Him. The apostle Paul declares that “It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation” (Romans 15:20).

This statement captures the heart of what Pioneers-Africa is all about; to partner with the church of God and serve to see that Christ is worshiped and followed among every people. What began as a small missionary attempt among Fulani Muslims in Mali, has by the grace of God grown to involve 162 missionaries and staff serving in 10 countries and among 31 people groups.

Ghana by God’s grace has a huge Christian presence. There are churches dotted across the length and breadth of the country. That in many ways gives the impression that every tribe, people and language in Ghana is reached with the gospel. However, that is far from the case. Satan still holds whole peoples in bondage. There are still pockets of people groups, tribes, cultures that have either not heard the gospel, or do not have a presence of indigenous believers to initiate a church movement ( multiplication) that would serve the people groups. These groups are generally classified as “Unreached People Groups.”

This compilation of known twenty (20) Unreached People Groups in Ghana is an attempt to bring the attention of the church in Ghana to groups that seem to be largely forgotten; Groups that are yet to see congregations of the redeemed in Christ amongst them.

In line with this quest, Pioneers Ghana has teams of missionaries serving amongst the Sisala, Waala, Dagomba, Kokomba, Nafaarna, Ligbi, Bimoba and Fante people groups; stretching from New Ebu in the Central Region to Tumu in the Upper West Region. Hence, we invite individuals, groups, churches and organizations to partner with us, so we can all Go, Give orPray; to see these groups of people reached to the glory of God.
